Creative Host Services, Inc., retained Dembling + Dembling Architects, P.C., to create a new food court at the Sanford/Orlando International Airport International terminal.
Surveys were taken in order to confirm the public’s tastes. Managers were then interviewed in an effort to fully accommodate the proposed operational changes. DDA adhered to a minimal budget while maximizing the project’s aesthetic impact.
Consolidating labor and maximizing visual impact for optimal sales were the primary goals.
Unique food service offerings were created to accommodate the international travelers. Graphical icons were developed to bridge the language barrier and assist in familiarizing the first-time visitor.
As a result the check average increased by 50% the required labor decreased by 33% and customers have been served more efficiently with few, if any, delays.
The back of house kitchen area was completely renovated. Production flow was optimized to accommodate the increased sales. DDA consulted on all aspects of food service equipment specifications and the ultimate installation.
DDA was further responsible for all aspects of the design including the structural framing, millwork, food service equipment, stainless steel modifications, finishes, awnings, banners, signs and menu boards.
In addition, DDA provided construction administration services to assure delivering the project on schedule and within budget.
