Creative Host Services, Inc., retained Dembling + Dembling Architects, P.C., to design Rio Douro Café at Newark International Airport Terminal “C”.
This unique restaurant is a brand new creation incorporating European flair with the upscale amenities necessary to satisfy the New York Metro international air-travelers.
Artisan wrought-iron gates, mosaic tiling, rich mahogany millwork and wainscots, alabaster and blown glass light fixtures, porcelain tile flooring and granite countertops combine to create this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
The restaurant was completed in Fall 2004.
DDA was responsible for all aspects of the design including the structural framing, millwork, food service equipment, stainless steel modifications, finishes, awnings, banners, signs and menu boards.
